Prescott Valley Public Library will be hosting Alzheimer’s Association Early-Stage Support Group meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from 10:00–11:30AM at Prescott Valley Public Library. This group is for people in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia and their care partners. It provides a safe space to share experiences, learn coping skills, discuss future planning and communication strategies, and connect with community resources.

Wednesdays, September 9 & 23, 2026.

Bring learning home with our Outreach Homeschool & Education Kits! Designed for homeschooling families, educators, and community learning groups, these kits offer high-quality books, hands-on activities, and multimedia resources for learners of all ages. Every kit provides free access to engaging educational tools that inspire curiosity and support learning.

Kits for Every Stage
Preschool (Ages 3–5)
Picture books, hands-on activities, and early learning tools.
Elementary School (Ages 5–10)
Stories, educational games, and introductory STEM activities.
Middle School (Ages 11–13)
Interactive experiments, multimedia resources, and topic-based learning.
High School (Ages 14–18)
Advanced subject kits, specialized resources, and independent learning materials.

This project is supported by the Arizona State Library, Archives & Public Records, a division of the Secretary of State, with federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Prescott Valley Public Library will be offering a Beginning Computer Skills course starting on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 10AM- Noon.

In this course, learners will be introduced to different types of computers and their parts. They will practice how to turn on and log on to a computer, as well as log off and shut off a computer properly. Learners will practice basic mouse skills to manage files and folders on a desktop and be introduced to the differences in mouse shapes. Learners will recognize important keys on the keyboard and when to use them appropriately. The first class will be an assessment to gauge your skills.

Registration is for a 4-week class series.
Attendance is required for the first class. If you miss the first class, you will be removed from the class but are welcome to register for the next class series.

1st class: Thursday, September 3, 2026
Class will meet on Thursdays, September 3, 10, 17, 24, 2026
Time: 10AM-Noon
PC Lab, Second Floor

Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.

Join us each month for a new LEGO® building challenge. Create your own masterpiece, show off your creativity, and see your creation displayed in the PVPL Youth Department throughout the month!

After the display period, creations will be returned to the LEGO® bins so everyone can build something new for the next challenge.

Ages 5–12. Children ages 5–8 must be accompanied by a caregiver.
