Superload is west of Francisco heading this way as of 9:49 am

Attention Princeton residents:

On 6/11/26 a commercial transport vehicle (super load) will be traveling from Oakland City thru Princeton on SR 64 (westbound). This vehicle travels anywhere from 10-15 mph and is massive. Once the vehicle reaches right around the Dairy Queen area, where east and west traffic give you four lanes, then eastbound traffic will most likely be able to proceed eastbound. When east and westbound is only two lanes, the transport will most likely take up both lanes and vehicles will have to move.
Westbound traffic will most likely be slow moving and or stopped during times of this transport. This vehicle may have to stop and lift lines and or remove other equipment to get thru and on to its destination.
Officers will be with the vehicle and helping it get thru town. Please be aware and patient so we can get this vehicle moved as quick as possible.

No exact time for when this transport will enter Princeton but the best guess estimates are anywhere between 10 am - 1 pm. This transport could arrive earlier than 10 am as well.

K9 Kilo and handler Officer David Jones competed today at the USPCA Region 5 Narcotics Detection Trials hosted by Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Department.

Kilo placed 2nd place in narcotic room searches and 8th place overall in narcotics competition. There were approximately 25 dogs in the competition from different departments.

This is the first time Officer Jones and Kilo have competed. Today, showed the hard work these two continue to put in on a daily basis. Great job guys !

INDOT to hold public open house for State Road 64 pavement replacement and ADA sidewalk construction project

GIBSON COUNTY Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation will hold a public open house for a pavement replacement and ADA sidewalk construction project along State Road 64 in Princeton.

The proposed project is located along S.R. 64 from the intersection with Brown Street to the intersection of Lake Road.

What: Public Open House for State Road 64 pavement replacement and ADA sidewalk construction project.

When: June 2, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (CST).

Where: Princeton Community High School, 1101 North Main Street, Princeton In. 47670.

The public is invited to learn more about the proposed project and provide feedback to INDOT. This meeting is an open house format and does not include a formal presentation.

K9 Kilo was all about the work. He is focused, driven, and ready to go every shift.

Retired K9 Ready’s life is a little different now. She is soaking up attention, loving the pets, and becoming a full-time PR dog wherever he goes.
