We’re excited to welcome a new face to the Lamar County Library System! 🎉 Meet Terren Thomas, our new Purvis Public Library Branch Manager. Get to know Terren a little more below!

Librarian, coach, dog mom, baseball fan, coffee drinker, Disney adult, and bookworm. I recently relocated to Purvis, MS from Louisville, KY. I completed my MLIS from the University of Kentucky and have 14 years of public library experience. I have a passion for literacy, lifelong learning, community, and animal rescue.

When I'm not in the stacks, you can typically find me at the ballfield, watching sports, fostering dogs, or — of course — with my nose in a book and coffee in my hand. I’m so excited to be here and to connect with my new community. Please stop by the Purvis Branch and say hello!

Our trinket trade is now LIVE! Bring your shiny, cute, or just plain fun small oddities and trade them out for something new! Think stuff like keychains, small figurines, tiny toys, mini books, shiny rocks, and more. ✨

A special thanks to one of our patrons who so generously built and donated the trinket station. 💖 Your love and support is such a blessing!

**Trades ONLY please - but if something catches your eye, ask a librarian. We might be able to help. 😇😉
