Congratulations to Officer Curtsinger and Officer Lewis, who graduated today from the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT) Basic Training Academy!

After months of hard work and training, they have reached an important milestone in their law enforcement careers.

We are proud to have them representing the Radcliff Police Department and look forward to seeing them continue to grow as they serve our community.

Due to a vehicle fire in front of Rural King, northbound traffic is currently being diverted onto Rineyville-Big Springs Road (KY-220). Please avoid the the area.

Officer Nicholas Kerney was recognized with the 2026 Governor’s Award for Occupant Protection Enforcement for his outstanding efforts in traffic safety.

We are excited to welcome Daryl Neese to the Radcliff Police Department.

Detective Neese joins RPD following a distinguished career with the Elizabethtown Police Department, where he gained years of valuable law enforcement experience. He will continue his law enforcement career as a member of our Detective Section.

We are glad to have him as part of our team and look forward to the knowledge and experience he brings to our department and community.

School Starts Tomorrow!

Hardin County Schools will begin the 2026–2027 school year tomorrow, Thursday, August 06, 2026. As students return to the classroom, we ask everyone to help make the first day a safe one.

The start of a new school year means increased traffic, school buses on the road, children walking to school, and busy school zones. Plan ahead and leave a few minutes earlier than normal to give yourself extra time to reach your destination. Those few extra minutes can help reduce stress, prevent rushed decisions, and make our roads safer for everyone.

Please remember to:
• Watch for children walking to and from school and waiting at bus stops.
• Stop for school buses when required by law.
• Obey all posted school zone speed limits.
• Stay alert, eliminate distractions, and be patient with other drivers.

A few extra minutes of planning can make a lifetime of difference. Together, we can help ensure every student arrives safely at school and returns home at the end of the day.

From all of us at the Radcliff Police Department, we wish our students, teachers, staff, and families a safe, successful, and rewarding school year!

Now Accepting Applications for the 2026 Radcliff Police Department Citizens Police Academy!

Have you ever wondered what it's really like to be a police officer? The Citizens Police Academy offers a behind-the-scenes look at law enforcement through hands-on demonstrations, interactive presentations, and opportunities to meet the officers who serve our community.

📅 Academy Schedule:

First Class: Tuesday, September 08, 2026
Remaining Classes: Mondays through November 09, 2026
🕕 Time: 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Applications are now being accepted! You can apply by completing the **Google Form** linked below, or pick up a paper application at the **Radcliff Police Department Records Department** during normal business hours.

🎒 Update: All School Supplies Have Been Distributed!

Wow! The response from our community was incredible. All of our school supplies have now been given away.
