Habitat for Humanity Seattle - King County A world where everyone has a decent place to live.

While best known for our traditional model of building houses using primarily volunteer labor and selling them at cost to working families whose income is less than 60% of the area median income, we also repair and preserve existing housing stock to keep low-income homeowners in safe, decent, affordable housing. Habitat’s ultimate goal is to transform lives and communities not just through housing itself, but by actively engaging the community to help improve neighborhoods themselves.

Jackie didn’t just move into her Habitat home. She helped build it. 🛠️ While working two jobs and raising three daughters, Jackie spent Saturdays on the build site digging, tying rebar, laying floor joists, installing insulation, and learning the ins and outs of the house she would soon call home.

Years later, she’s still there, still fixing things herself, and prouder than ever of everything that went into building it.

Flashback to one of those perfect summer days ☀️🌭 Back in July, we fired up the grill for Hot Dog Day and got to spend a little extra time celebrating some of the regular volunteers who show up for Habitat week after week. We love this crew, and we’re so grateful for everything they bring to our work. 💙

Big thanks to Washington Trust Bank for joining the fun and bringing some pretty stellar raffle prizes, including Mariners tickets! ⚾️
