Speak up before your rent goes up!
We can't afford to stay quiet!

On Wed., June 10, Takoma Park's Mayor and City Council will publish the results of a consultation that could put your rent up! Even though the consultation only heard from ONE in every FIFTY renters, the city plans to use these results to change its rent stabilization rules. Join us at the City Council meeting to make your voice heard in public comments. Tell them no inflation-busting rent increases, no more loopholes for landlords and developers - our rent is high enough already.

Join us first for a testimony writing party to prepare testimony for the hearing together on Sunday June 7 at Electric Maid Community Exchange.

Then, join us at the Sam Abbott Citizens' Center on Wednesday June 10 to speak up for rent stabilization before the Takoma Park City Council:

We’ll gather at the MCEA building at 12 Taft Ct, Rockville MD to phone bank for Team Josie and help prepare campaign materials needed for the remainder of the campaign.

Please bring your laptop, iPad, tablet, or other device, as well as your cell phone.

Organize with MoCo DSA this weekend!

-Electoral canvasses for and all day on Saturday and Sunday. Only two weeks until the Maryland Primary on June 23rd, early voting starting next week and mail in ballots already arriving this is our final push to our candidates over the finish line, come join us to knock doors! You can come out for whatever amount of time suits you!
-Josie's campaign will also be holding a fundraiser this Saturday evening at .hollingers in Silver Spring with special guest of Delaware!
-On Sunday our Rent Stabilization Working Group will hold a testimony writing party at just over the border from Takoma Park in NW DC. This is in preparation for the public hearing at TKPK City Hall on Wednesday 6/10.

We'll be canvassing in the Takoma Park/Silver Spring areas on both Saturday and Sunday and on Saturday will include work flyering to protect rent stabilization in Takoma Park.

Canvass this weekend for Gabe Acevero , incumbent and MDC-DSA endorsed candidate for Maryland House of Delegates District-39!

Gabe will be on hand to meet volunteers and discuss his policy on data centers in Maryland. We’ll then be knocking on our neighbors doors to tell them all about Gabe and his tireless support for our community, lets show up to lend some support!

There will be a launch on the hour throughout the day on both Saturday and Sunday, show up when you can and for as long as you can!

Join us to knock doors and phonebank this week for our Josie Caballero , our DSA endorsed candidate for Montgomery County Council at Large! With just 3 weeks until the Maryland Primary Election on 6/23 we want to let voters know that Josie is focused on lowering housing costs, stand with our teachers and keeping our communities safe from ICE.

Please note that the Friday canvass has been changed, it was previously listed as Rockville but will now be in Silver Spring.

We’ll be knocking on our neighbors doors to tell them all about Gabe and his tireless support for our community, lets show up to lend some support!

This week we'll be in Germantown launching from Gibbs Elementary on both Saturday and Sunday. There are two launches on each day and you do not need to show up for the entire duration. No experienced needed, we'll train you! Register through the QR codes or the linktree in our bio!
