Background: GEO Group and CoreCivic are two of the largest companies that work with ICE to build and operate their detention centers. Citizens Bank provides major money to GEO Group and CoreCivic.
In 2019, eight major banks — JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Barclays, BNP Paribas, and others — pledged to stop doing business with CoreCivic and GEO Group. Citizens Bank did not. Since then, Citizens has helped the two companies access more than $2 billion in financing.

Citizens Bank has 4 locations in Maryland, all in Montgomery County.

Saturday, June 6, is a National Day of Action against Citizens Bank. Join Indivisible Montgomery and other activists across the country to protest Citizens Bank's continued funding of ICE prisons.
