‼️ We need your help! 📚
We are working to expand our Truancy Prevention Program (TPP) volunteer network as we gear up for the next school year.
🙏 Please help spread the word to any community members who may be interested in making a meaningful impact on the lives of the students of Montgomery County.
TPP is a powerful initiative of the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office that addresses the root causes of chronic absenteeism by pairing students with caring, committed mentors. Cohorts begin every September (Fall semester) and February (Spring semester), and volunteers commit just 2–3 hours per week for 10 weeks, with weekly sessions being held during school hours.
TPP is currently active in 22 middle schools and 4 high schools, and with your help, we can continue to grow and support even more students and families.
Becoming a TPP mentor is more than just volunteering – it’s an opportunity to:
-Empower students struggling with chronic absenteeism
-Build meaningful connections with youth and their families
-Give back to our community in a truly impactful way
-Celebrate student success at our end of semester graduation ceremony
