We are proud to share some exciting news for Sachse Economic Development!

The City of Sachse Economic Development has received the 2026 Planning Achievement Gold Award for Economic Development Planning from the American Planning Association – Texas Chapter for "Better Together: Building a Complete Community in Sachse", our Economic Development Strategic Plan.

The Texas Planning Awards recognize outstanding planning achievements and leadership across the state, with projects evaluated on originality and innovation, engagement, implementation and effectiveness, quality, and the promotion of planning.

This recognition reflects the work and collaboration that went into creating a strategic vision for Sachse’s continued economic growth and development. We are proud to see Sachse recognized among communities across Texas for excellence in planning.

Today, Mayor Jeff Bickerstaff, members of Sachse City Council, the Sachse Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors and City staff joined the property owner, Tri-Star Construction, Inc. and LiNC Realty to celebrate the groundbreaking of Parkside Village, a new 16,000-square-foot neighborhood retail development coming to Ranch Road near JK Sachse Park.

The project brings new retail opportunities to a site that was previously zoned for industrial development and is designed to complement the surrounding neighborhoods, schools and recreational amenities.

Stay tuned for more updates as Parkside Village takes shape!
