📣 Calling all nurse consultants!

Have you considered a career with the State of California?

We recently updated the minimum qualifications for the Nurse Consultant Series to expand opportunities for qualified applicants.

We removed outdated education accreditation language and broadened the minimum qualifications to better reflect today’s nursing workforce. These updates reduce unnecessary barriers to entry while ensuring departments continue to recruit highly qualified nursing professionals.

Nurse Consultants provide essential clinical expertise, policy guidance, and program support that help improve services for Californians across state government.

If you previously thought you didn’t meet the minimum qualifications (MQs), we encourage you to take another look — you may now be eligible to compete for these rewarding career paths.
