🐉Congratulations to St. Rose Elementary student Olivia Washington!

We are so proud to share that Olivia’s essay was selected as part of the St. Charles Women’s Club (SCWC) America 250 Project! Students from St. Charles Parish Public Schools were invited to write essays about women who have influenced history over the past 250 years, and Olivia’s outstanding work was chosen as one of only 21 essays to be featured.

In her essay, Olivia highlighted the remarkable accomplishments of Misty Copeland, the first African-American woman to become a principal ballerina with the American Ballet Theatre. Olivia beautifully shared how Misty’s perseverance, talent, and dedication inspired her own love of ballet and taught her the importance of hard work and determination.

We are incredibly proud of Olivia for representing St. Rose Elementary with such thoughtful writing and for sharing her personal connection to this inspiring role model.

A special thank you to the St. Charles Women’s Club for providing this meaningful opportunity and to all of the teachers who guided students throughout the project.

🐉And just like that, another amazing school year has come to an end! Our last day was filled with big smiles, warm hugs, and maybe even a few tears as we said goodbye and wished our students a wonderful summer. What an incredible year of learning, growth, friendships, and memories!🥰

We are incredibly proud of him and grateful for the opportunity to celebrate his hard work, leadership, and achievements throughout this year.
