Members from Station 78 had a busy month of August not only responding to fire calls but with the annual Philadelphia Folk Festival. Members put in over 100 hours of time preparing, setting up, throughout the event and cleaning up.

September is going to be another busy month with events scheduled almost every weekend. Make sure to check the website for details of the events coming up.

We’re excited to introduce our NEW lending library at the firehouse. Stop by, grab a book, and enjoy a little rainy day reading time at home. 

The library was made possible through a Girl Scout Bronze Award Project. We’re so grateful for the time and effort put into creating something our community can enjoy!

Upper Salford Volunteer Fire Company 1st Annual Disc Golf Tournament is a disc golf tournament held in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania on September 26, 2026 at Upper Salford course.

‼️‼️Local Harleysville Residents Upcoming Detour Announcement‼️‼️

A heads up to our local residents who might encounter a road closure this week. Tuesday August 25th the company will be hosting our annual large tanker drill. The drill will be approximately 6:30-8:30PM
Indian Creek Road from Price Road to Sturgis Road will be closed unless you live in the area. Freeman School Road will be closed from Salfordville Road. Salfordville road will be limited access. Groffs Mill Park will be closed for the evening also.
There will be a large amount of moving trucks in the area, please take caution and give them room.

That’s a wrap on Folk Fest 2026!

Corn made a comeback on our menu this year. A locally grown cob with our famous firehouse burgers and fries - definitely some crowd favorites. Volunteers also responded to 6 calls this weekend.

Huge thank you to the community members that stopped in to help and the patrons that bought our food. Station 78 appreciates your support!

This weekend is always a busy weekend for members from Station 78. Not only are we running Fire calls, we are also providing food for the 2026 Philadelphia Folk Festival.
