Recovery doesn’t end when the water recedes. Following devastating flooding from the Cottonwood Fire burn scar, communities in Beaver, Piute and Sevier Utah counties are facing destroyed homes, damaged roads, contaminated water systems and an enormous cleanup ahead. The Salvation Army is on the ground helping communities recover.

Working alongside disaster-response partners, The Salvation Army is providing meals for AmeriCorps and muck-out teams, distributing gas gift cards to affected residents, supporting recovery crews and mobilizing volunteers to organize donations and supplies.

At the request of the State of Utah, Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services is helping keep the recovery effort moving — one meal, one family and one community at a time.

Recovery efforts continue in Beaver County, Utah.

Through The Salvation Army's partnership with the Utah Food Bank, our Emergency Disaster Services team helped provide 80 bags of ice for Team Rubicon volunteers as they continue muck-out operations in flood-affected communities.

Disaster recovery is a team effort. We're grateful for the partnership of Team Rubicon, Utah Food Bank, local emergency management, and so many others working together to support our neighbors during recovery.

The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services team remains on standby, ready to serve as the Widemouth 2 Fire continues to impact Millard County, Utah.

As wildfire conditions continue to evolve, The Salvation Army is coordinating with emergency management and community partners and remains prepared to provide feeding support, hygiene supplies, water, cleaning kits, and other assistance as needs arise.

The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services team is working alongside incredible community partners to help meet immediate and ongoing recovery needs.
