What an honor to help celebrate a true Tejano icon.

Little Joe’s music has brought generations together, and now his legacy will continue by opening doors for students to pursue their dreams. The launch of the Little Joe & Cris Hernandez Legacy Scholarship Foundation at Woodlawn Theatre was a powerful reminder that investing in education is one of the greatest ways we can honor those who have shaped our community.

Thank you to everyone who made this unforgettable evening possible, and to the artists, community leaders, and supporters who came together to celebrate culture, service, and opportunity. San Antonio’s story is written by people who lift others up — and this foundation will help the next generation write their own.

Congratulations to Little Joe on an extraordinary legacy that will continue to inspire for years to come.

Honored to join the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project’s Willie Velasquez Dinner to celebrate a legacy rooted in one simple but powerful idea: our democracy is strongest when every voice is heard.

Willie Velasquez understood that expanding participation strengthens our communities. That’s a belief I share — and one we’re putting into action in San Antonio. From launching the Mayor’s Commission on Voting to moving our municipal elections to November to increase turnout, we’re working to remove barriers and make it easier for people to have a say in the future of our city.

Thank you to SVREP for continuing this important work and for bringing together so many leaders committed to empowering the next generation of voters. Together, we’re building a stronger, more representative San Antonio.

Enjoyed attending the Joint Base San Antonio 502d Air Base Wing Change of Command Ceremony as Brig. Gen. Randy Oakland relinquished command to Brig. Gen. David Wilson.

Change of command ceremonies are a powerful reminder that while leadership changes, the mission — and the commitment to those who serve — remains steadfast.

As Military City USA, we’re proud to stand alongside the service members, civilian professionals, and military families who make the mission happen.

Eight hundred backpacks. School supplies. Haircuts. Vaccines. Dental checkups.

Good to join District 117 State Representative Philip Cortez at his Back to School event. Grateful to partners like the San Antonio Food Bank, University Health, and UT Health San Antonio for ensuring our kids are ready to excel in the classroom. Huge thanks to Palo Alto College for hosting!

Thanks to our 170+ neighbors who took the time to join me and District 1 Councilwoman Dr. Sukh Kaur at this month’s Mayoral Town Hall.

I’m grateful neighbors took the time to ask questions and hear updates from City Hall, from the FY2027 budget to priorities for the potential bond, and bringing good paying jobs to San Antonio. I look forward to seeing you at my next town hall!

September may be around the corner, but the spirit of Earth, Wind & Fire is always in season.

It was a pleasure to welcome these legendary artists to San Antonio and present them with the honorary designation of Emissaries of the Muses — a recognition reserved for those whose contributions to the arts inspire communities and help share the culture and spirit of our city with the world.

Music has a unique way of bringing people together across generations, and Earth, Wind & Fire have been doing exactly that for decades. Thank you for the joy you've brought to millions, for sharing your incredible talent with San Antonio, and for helping celebrate the power of the arts to connect us all.

Welcome to San Antonio and thank you for helping showcase what makes our city such a special place to live, work, and create.

The future is brighter when young people come together to learn from one another, tackle big challenges, and build lasting connections.

It was an honor to welcome students from our Sister Cities across France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, South Korea, and Taiwan for the inaugural San Antonio Sister Cities Youth Summit. Alongside local students, they're collaborating on innovative solutions for more sustainable communities while experiencing the culture and hospitality that make San Antonio so special.

Programs like this remind us that diplomacy doesn't just happen between governments, it begins with people. By investing in these young leaders and fostering friendships across borders, we're helping prepare the next generation to solve global challenges through collaboration, creativity, and mutual respect.

Thank you to Students of Service, our City's Global Engagement Office, the Department of Resilience and Sustainability, the educators, chaperones, and every student participating in this incredible exchange. Welcome to San Antonio!

Affordable housing is about more than building homes — it's about creating stability, dignity, and opportunity for our neighbors. Congratulations to Prospera Housing Community Services on the grand opening of Country Club Village, where 324 seniors and families with disabilities have access to safe, high-quality, affordable housing.

When we invest in those who need the most support, we build a stronger San Antonio for everyone. Thank you to our community partners, City staff, and everyone whose commitment and collaboration made this milestone possible. Together, we'll keep working to expand affordable housing options and ensure every resident has the opportunity to thrive.
