Golden Gate Park's Summer of Music from Another Planet Entertainment generated an estimated $245 million in economic activity across the Bay Area in 2025, according to a new report by the Bay Area Council Economic Institute. Three major concert weekends featuring Dead & Company, Outside Lands and Zach Bryan drew roughly 437,000 attendees and supported more than 1,200 jobs, with nearly $193 million of that economic impact occurring in San Francisco. The event celebrates the first game day under the Academy's new name honoring Giants legend and Hall of Famer Orlando Cepeda. Come cheer on sailors of homemade bottle sailboats at the Bruce Ettinger Bottle Yacht Regatta on Sunday, June 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Spreckels Lake in Golden Gate Park. Hosted by the San Francisco Model Yacht Club (36th Avenue and Fulton Street), the free event features races for boats built from recycled bottles and other found materials. The historic clubhouse will also be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. After the races, registered novices can learn to sail a remote-control model yacht with a mentor.
