Our mission is to enhance the lives of the people in our community through programs for youth, families & seniors. We focus on meeting the needs of a culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse community with services that promote stability for families; build skills and self-worth that allow toddlers, youth, and adults to reach for their dreams and succeed; and support seniors in remaining vital and independent.

The North Beach Place Youth Center is back! 🎉

Earlier this month, TEL HI reopened the Youth Center at 567 Bay Street for regular drop-in hours, giving local youth a welcoming place to spend time after school, get homework help, use computers, play games and take part in activities like painting, cooking, and field trips.

To help more students get connected, our staff also visited Francisco Middle School and Galileo Academy of Science and Technology to share information about the Youth Center and how teens can get involved for free.

The center is open Tuesdays and Fridays from 3:00-6:00 PM for North Beach Place residents ages 8-17 and nonresidents ages 10-17. We’re excited to welcome more young people back into the space and build an active, connected community year-round! 💙

We’re excited to welcome Emmy Award-winning comedian and writer Jesse Fernandez as this year’s event emcee. Jesse’s credits include The Onion and eBaum’s World, and he performs at comedy clubs throughout the Bay Area and beyond. He also teaches stand-up comedy at San Francisco’s legendary Punch Line.

Last Saturday, over 350 registered guests and community members plus 28 partner organizations came together for TEL HI's 4th annual Aging & Older Adults Resource Fair!

Attendees connected with local providers offering healthcare, insurance, tech, legal, caregiving, disability, and other valuable support.

TEL HI’s Aging and Older Adult Program had a memorable August outing with a scenic waterfront walk, burgers and fries, and quality time with friends and peer! 🌊🍔

After strolling along the pier, participants enjoyed a special lunch at In-N-Out Burger near Fisherman's Wharf, along with plenty of good conversation. Outings like these give older adults meaningful opportunities to stay active, strengthen connections, and make new memories together.
