Ida Price Middle School is now complete! As busy as our schedule has been this summer, we were able to squeeze Ida Price Middle School in for a revamp of their gas system. We bored 700 ft. of pipe, installed 300 ft. of new polyethylene pipe by open trench excavation and ran 500 ft. of above ground piping along the exterior of buildings. It was a big job, but MBS got it done! Forty buildings at Ida Price are now connected to gas, right before the new school year begins. What a relief! We repaired all the concrete and asphalt from the excavation, power washed all utility markings and painted the pipe to match the exterior walls of the school. We also installed a seismic shut-off valve on their gas meter to protect their system from a large earthquake.

On average, we find 12, dangerous, gas leaks at every K-12 school we survey. For colleges and universities, the average is an alarming 34 gas leaks per campus.
