On June 6, 1983, NFBPA was chartered, establishing an organization dedicated to advancing the careers of public servants and strengthening communities across the nation.

For over four decades, NFBPA has empowered leaders, fostered professional development, and championed the principles of effective and equitable public service. As we honor this milestone, we celebrate the vision of our founders, the dedication of our members, and the lasting impact of our collective work.
