You take personal responsibility for your comments, your username, and any other information provided. To facilitate the purposes of the social-media platforms, Comments may be removed if they contain, constitute, or link to:
Malicious or harmful software;
Advertisements, promotions, or solicitations of a commercial product or service;
The disclosure of confidential information or the invasion of an individual’s privacy;
Profanity, nudity, indecency, obscenity or graphic violence;
Sexual harassment;
Harassment on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or age;
Threats of violence or to public safety;
The promotion of terrorist groups and activity;
Defamatory content;
Copyrighted materials in violation of State or federal law;
The publication of content subject to legal prohibitions that restrict or limit publication
Disruptively repetitive content;
Communications and comments that are wholly unrelated to the subject matter of the posts appearing on the platform;
Political campaigning. Any content removed pursuant to this Policy will be retained for one year. Some issues may be referred to Facebook for violation of Community Standards and removal. Users may be temporarily or permanently restricted from accessing the social-media
platform if they repeatedly and consistently violate this Policy. If a user has five comments removed for a violation of standards in a 30-day period of time, the user will be banned from the page for a period of 30 days. To contest the restriction of access to a social-media platform, the user must submit to the Office of the Assistant Board Attorney – [email protected] - a
written statement providing grounds for reinstatement. Requests shall be responded to on a reasonably timely basis, and access shall be restored if it is determined that the grounds for reinstatement are sufficient. A statement that the user will abide by this policy in the future shall be sufficient, except when a user has continued to violate the policy after having made such a statement. Our social media accounts are not monitored 24/7. If you’re a student in crisis, or have an emergency, please call 911. We update and monitor social media accounts intermittently throughout the day—from 7:30 a.m. At times, our accounts may be used before and after these times to communicate about urgent issues or respond to inquiries from members of the public. We welcome your comments and questions, but please ensure you do not include personal information or photos of others without their consent. All comments related to district business will be considered public records subject to disclosure upon request.
