Thank you Mrs. Aliotta for sharing what you have been able to do with your grants over the past several years!

The PTA grants have been such a blessing to the classrooms at Jacob G. Smith, helping teachers make learning come alive. I received a grant that allowed my students to experience the butterfly life cycle firsthand. With the grant, our class was able to create a butterfly garden. I was able to create planter and purchase the soil, plants, and hoses. The students were actively involved in planting the flowers and watching them grow. Along the way, they learned about birds, hummingbirds, and monarch butterflies while observing nature right outside our classroom window. It was so much more than a science lesson—it was an experience that made learning exciting and memorable. Years later, those students still talk about the butterflies and the memories they made. That is the true impact of PTA grants: creating hands-on learning experiences that students carry with them for years to come
