The 2026 annual Firemen's Breakfast is coming up on Sunday, May 17th this year and we are preparing for an amazing day!
Our Firemen will be cooking up some scrambled eggs, french toast, breakfast sausage, and serving coffee and orange juice!
We also will be giving some awesome Fire Truck rides to the kids, who can enjoy a fun ride around the block with lights, horns, and sirens!
All members at Sidney Fire can not express enough how thankful we are for everyone's support!

The members at Sidney Fire would like to send a huge Thank you to Duane Lundemo of Lundemo Fi****ms & Sports, and to AJ McGarvey of Les Schwab for their amazing donation to the Fire Department.
Duane and AJ worked up a donation from an item auctioned at our local Pheasants Forever benefit, and donated the proceeds to support the Sidney Volunteer Fire Department.
Huge Thank you Duane, AJ, and the Sidney Pheasants Forever for making this donation possible, and for always supporting our local first responders!!

Mark your calendars for November 15th!!

Sidney Fire Department is hosting our third annual Fireman's Ball this year on November 15th, 2025.
Come join us for a great night of fun events, live and silent auctions, dinner provided, lots of dancing, and live music by "Big Skillet"
Doors will be open at 6pm at the Richland County Event Center!

Tickets are on sale now for the event and currently can be purchased at the Sidney Fire Station or by messaging us on Facebook. Please note the event is for anyone 21 or older.

Come join us for a great night of fun and help support the Fallen Volunteer Heroes Scholarship, which assists students who are entering a career in Emergency Services and Medical fields, while also encouraging volunteerism within our great community!

**Incident information release**
June 26, 2025 @ 10:00am

On Wednesday, June 25th at approximately 8:00pm, Sidney Fire was dispatched to reports of a saltwater disposal site on fire and large explosions coming from the area. The site is SouthWest of Sidney, approximately 4 miles south on Highway 261.
Arriving Fire crews began to identify any life safety concerns of the site and surrounding area, and began to fully quarantine the area for safety.
Sidney Fire monitored the site through the night, clearing the scene at 7:00am on Thursday morning.
The facility contained multiple storage tanks and propane tanks which once heated, caused the explosions. Early reports showed the blast could be felt from up to 10 miles away.
No injuries were sustained in the fire and recovery efforts, and most of the damage was contained to the site itself.
We are grateful for the help from Richland County Sheriffs Office, Richland County Ambulance Service, Richland County Emergency Management, and Lower Yellowstone Rural Electric Coop for their assistance with the incident.
We would like to thank everyone who offered help, and those that provided video and images of the incident. We are grateful that no injuries were sustained in the incident.

On Saturday, October 19th, Sidney Fire will be conducting a training burn on a trailer house on the Northwest side of town. There may be smoke or visible fire that can be seen from the neighboring areas.
The burn will happen off of Highway 16, on a property across from the Montana DOT yard.

Please keep your eyes open when driving by and be alert of any Fire Apparatus that may be entering the highway.

CEO Jason Brothen presents a check for $2,000 to Fire Chief Adam Smith for the Sidney Volunteer Fire Department. The SVFD is going to put the funds towards a new truck that is ordered.
