Shout out to our City utility crew for putting in long hard hours fixing numerous leaks in our water system. Parts of our utility infrastructure are so old their age isn’t known. This particular leak, one of 5 or so in the last 24 hours, is on a water main estimated to be installed in the 1960’s. What you see in this image is multiple “band-aids” or repairs on a water main. We must continue aggressively addressing our aging infrastructure problems. Just one of the clamps seen in this photo costs $1000.00 just for the clamp or “band-aid.” This particular main line, is estimated to have 50 of these clamps on it. Cost to replace this main line is estimated to be between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00.

Movie in the Park Monday July 20th! FREE admission!

Movie in the park sponsored by Simplot! The first movie in the park will be MONDAY JULY 20th in City of Soda Springs City park behind the Soda Springs Library. Movie will be GOAT. There will be two additional movies in the park this summer and we will need sponsors to pay the licensing fees. I have had offers to sponsor previously but lost the info. Tonight is the night- 4:00 to 6:00 PM

As you may know, there is a study underway in Soda Springs to help determine the future of the Enders and other city properties. Your input on the future of the Enders etc. is encouraged. Come to a public meeting on Monday July 13th, 4PM-6PM and let your voice be heard. This will be a noticed City meeting as a quorum of city council may be in attendance. This is our city, come voice your ideas and input. Please share to spread the word.
