Lithia Chrysler and Subaru of Spokane generously donated $300 to all 5 of our Salk students who lost their homes in the Spokane Complex fires. The gift will go toward replacement of their sport and music equipment so they may continue participating in the activities they love.

Dear SPS families and staff,

Yesterday's devastating fire has deeply impacted our community, and our thoughts are with every family, student, staff member, and first responder affected.

Spokane Public Schools is working closely with local organizations and our city and county partners to support those impacted and ensure families have access to the resources they need. We know that events like this are especially difficult for children. Many of our students experienced the trauma of evacuation, and some have lost their homes. In the days and weeks ahead, our schools will provide care, stability, and support for every student who needs it.

Those who have been impacted by the fire are being asked to go to the Spokane Convention Center at 334 W. Spokane Falls Blvd., Spokane, WA 99201.

This will be a difficult season for our community, but Spokane has always come together in times of challenge. We will continue to support one another as we move forward together.
