Join us tonight, 10/27, for some family-friendly Halloween fun at Papermakers Stadium! 🎃👻

Come dressed in costume and enjoy a Treat Trail around the track, food trucks, community organizations, and a movie on the turf!

🎃 Hosted by the SGAHS Renaissance Leadership Club

5:30-6:30 PM: Food Trucks and Treat Trail (bring a bag or basket!)
6:30 PM: Hocus Pocus, 1993 (PG) on the turf
The event concludes when the movie ends.

Congratulations to Julia Tackett, an SGAHS senior, who took 1st place in Miniature Horse Jumping (ages 14-18) at the PA State 4-H Horse Show on October 22!

Held at the PA Farm Show Complex, this timed event challenges handlers to guide their miniature horses through a course of obstacles and jumps, all without riding. Julia has spent years training and working with her horse, and it's exciting to see that dedication pay off.

Way to go, Julia!

Remember when we teased a special project Dr. Kirkpatrick was working on with our students before the Homecoming Parade? Well, here’s the finished product!

Superintendent Dr. Kirkpatrick’s car got a Rocket-worthy makeover for the October 8 parade, complete with custom vinyl decals and rocket-inspired tail fins. The project brought together student creativity, hands-on skills, and community support to create a one-of-a-kind display of Rocket Pride!

A huge thank you to Total Identity Solutions for providing and installing the car decals and helping bring this vision to life.

We also want to recognize the students in Mr. Richard’s Pre-Apprenticeship Commercial and Industrial Trades class who helped create the transformation: Caelum Allison, Travis Chronister, Joshua Farber, Jayden Ferrell, Brayden Hoover, Michael Kovack, German Madrigal Lua, and Carter Sanders.

Special thanks to students Ava Dietrich, Natalie Burkett, Joey Hoke, and Aidan Myers for printing and applying vinyl graphics to the rocket-inspired tail fins made by their fellow students.

Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, talent, and creativity to make this project possible and help our Rocket Pride shine at Homecoming!

The Homecoming Community Parade and Bonfire event on October 8th was a great evening filled with school spirit, smiles, and community pride.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the parade and came out to enjoy the festivities! Special thanks to the SGAHS Student Council and their advisors for all their hard work in organizing this annual tradition.

Congratulations to the Spring Grove Area High School Rocketry Team on being selected for the 2027 NASA Student Launch program!

Spring Grove is one of just 17 middle and high school teams selected nationwide for this nine-month engineering challenge.

The six-member team earned its spot after submitting an impressive 47-page proposal to NASA. Over the coming months, students will design, build, and test rockets while working through technical reviews with NASA representatives. Their hard work will culminate in the final launch in Huntsville, Alabama, in April 2027.

Congratulations to team members Greyson Straub-Levis, Natalie Lecrone, Elijah Henning, Logan Shearer, Lauren Sanchez, and Micah Henning, along with advisors Mr. Brian Hastings and Ms. Janet Senft.

Seeing double at Spring Grove Area Middle School? Our custodians joined the fun for Twin Day, as part of the week's festivities.

The student-led Spirit Week was organized by Club Connect in recognition of Red Ribbon Week. Through activities that spread kindness, build friendships, and help students feel welcome, Club Connect is making a positive difference at SGAMS.

It's another way our students are bringing the Rocket Promise to life by taking the lead and finding creative ways to connect with students and staff.
