A special thanks to MAU members Matthew Weatherman, Drew Diehl, Brian Lozano, Willie Williams, Leon Griffith, Roberto Valdez, Carson Rockhill, Jack Hadank, and Grant Heimer for running our recruiting booth at the Bass Pro Shop’s Tournament of Champions this weekend at Great Southern Bank Arena at Missouri State University. You guys did a great job and we’ve already had emails and phone calls of interest and several application forms submitted! Thank you for serving to help continue to grow the association. While other areas are struggling to get new umpires, we are succeeding because of your work!

We would like to thank , , and for allowing us to set up a recruiting booth during lunch this week to talk to your students about getting into umpiring. With more youth tournaments like coming to the Springfield area, we need more umpires getting involved. This is a great opportunity for high school students to make $30-35 an hour this summer and we are providing free training to get started. Let us know if you would like us to come to your school and talk to your students, or if you are interested in getting started with the MAU!
