Pictured here is our President, Richard Boyer, standing alongside a hydropneumatic flusher used during an internal assessment at a nursing home facility.
This equipment uses a combination of water and compressed air to create high-velocity flow through sprinkler piping, helping remove debris and allowing technicians to evaluate the condition of the system. These assessments can reveal hidden obstructions, corrosion byproducts, and other materials that may restrict water delivery during a fire event. NFPA 25 requires internal pipe assessments under specific conditions to help ensure sprinkler systems remain free of obstructions and ready to perform when needed.
It's a great reminder that effective fire protection goes beyond what you can see. Behind every reliable sprinkler system is a commitment to inspection, testing, maintenance, and ensuring water can reach its intended destination when it's needed most!
