For immediate customer service call (314) 768-6260. Project Clear is a long-term public engagement effort by the Metropolitan St. Our goal is to provide clear, current information to the public about the planning, design, and construction of an infrastructure program of this scale. Project Clear is a long-term effort by the Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD), undertaken as part of an agre

ement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Project Clear aims to:
•improve water quality for everyone
•solve problems for some of our customers created by the very nature and design of St. Louis’ wastewater system
•provide clear, up-to-date information to the public. With significant investment comes a significant timeline. Though less visible than the work required to build the new Busch Stadium, or rebuild I-64, or build a new bridge, the work MSD is undertaking is equivalent to constructing 11 Busch Stadiums, rebuilding I-64 nine times, or erecting seven new Mississippi River bridges. We appreciate your patience with our 23-year plan. Enjoy the site, and come back often to learn more about how the MSD team, in partnership with organizations and neighbors just like you, is improving the region – one drop at a time.

: 🚧 Witness the power of innovation! This rare look at a tunnel boring machine in action, two hundred feet underground (you’ve seen the hole-thru, but this is the thing in action!) This 3+ mile tunnel runs from the confluence of Mississippi and River des Peres to Oakville. This tunnel increases capacity in a part of the system that cannot meet modern demands. This new tunnel allows us to retire two pump stations that were past their lifespan.

Discover this MSD Project Clear pump station, the engineering marvel of the Deer Creek Tunnel Pump Station! This state-of-the-art facility plays a crucial role in managing wastewater in the Deer Creek tunnel, which runs from the Galleria to 1-44 and Shrewsbury. Join us in appreciating the hard work of the dedicated team behind the scenes.
