Celebrating Excellence in The View! 🌟

We’re excited to honor SROs Randal Dennis and Ryan Richter as May 26 BOE Riverview Excellence honorees!🎉

SRO Randal Dennis was recently recognized with the Fox 2 News Proud to Serve Award. The Proud to Serve Award honors local first responders, veterans and active military members who make a positive impact on the community. At Riverview Gardens HS, he has made a positive impact on the culture by keeping students safe as well as serving as a positive role model. Dennis recently donated items to reward RGHS students who displayed good grades, attendance and behavior.👌🏾

SRO Ryan Richter received recognition from Lewis & Clark ES for consistently keeping the community safe. He goes above and beyond each day to make sure our scholars, families and staff feel safe and supported. We truly appreciate his dedication, professionalism and commitment to our schools. Way to go!👏🏾

Hey Ramily, your voice and insight are vital to the future of our schools. ​Today, Tuesday, June 9, the Riverview Gardens School District will host a public hearing for the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), and we need you there!

This is your opportunity to stay informed regarding the state of the district, ask questions and engage directly with state and local education leaders.

​Join us and share in discussions about the road to accreditation, local taxes, business development, attendance, district finances and more.

Following the hearing, the RGSD Board of Education will conduct its regularly scheduled meetin​g at 7:15 p.m.

🐉 Danforth Elementary School: Closing a Chapter, Honoring a Legacy

The halls of Danforth Elementary School were filled with decades of fond memories. 🏀✨ Our Last Dragon Farewell Tours brought together scholars, alumni, staff and neighbors to bid a bittersweet farewell to Danforth Elementary School. 🐉

While Danforth will no longer serve as an elementary school, it will continue to support and serve the RGSD community with a food market, counseling services and adult education courses. It will also house the Success Academy.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported and made this community thrive over the years.👏🏾

Earlier this school year, Farrakhan Shegog and Young Voices with Action, Inc. had the privilege of visiting Westview Middle School to pour into the young men. 🙌 At the event, they sat down with a group of young men for a real conversation — about life, school, purpose and the power of their potential. They also discussed the importance of education, setting goals, building character and overcoming challenges. The students were reminded that their choices matter, their future is worth working for, and the foundation they build now will carry them far. Now that summer is here, may this break be a time to reflect, recharge and come back ready. Thank you to Farrakhan Shegog and Young Voices with Action, Inc. This is what community looks like. 🙏

Celebrating Excellence in The View! 🌟

We’re excited to honor Sultan Muhammad as a May 26 BOE Riverview Excellence honoree!🎉 Muhammad’s Self-Love Program has made a monumental impact on the Riverview Gardens High School campus. Brother Self-Love provides dedicated mentorship, conflict resolution, self-confidence and various life skills that make a difference.👌🏾

He recently coordinated the Self-Love Summit, which brought several guest speakers to present to Riverview Gardens HS scholars, parents and community members. Muhammad’s goal has been to mentor the young men at RGHS and help to educate and empower them to choose non-violent solutions. Muhammad also partners with the RGHS restorative team to support Lewis & Clark ES scholars with conflict resolution on a monthly basis.

We appreciate the guidance and support our scholars receive from Sultan Muhammad. Brother Self-Love, thank you for positively impacting the lives of scholars at RGSD schools!👏🏾👏🏾
