July brought us heat...lots of HEAT! And with that the Baywatch Blasts from the Past came to life at the Kidder County Swimming Pool. David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson-eat your hearts out! Always a fun night when water is involved along with Steele Volunteer Fire Dept and KCA crews. In the past we have ventured to Lake Isabel for our water rescue trainings but last night we hit the pool. Have no fear, no bodies were lost, Timmy was rescued, saved and boarded and strapped for transport. The SVFD utilized their banana boat for deep water rescue, safety bags and discs were on scene for off shore rescues. We appreciate our partners in emergency rescues. Once again, fun was had but in a serious instant these crews would have your back!

First up....

As always summer has been filled with trainings, learning and most of all laughter. We commend our KCA crew for being willing to train, practice and perfect their skills when off duty so they can be top notch when on duty. June brought our QRUs and on call crews to the Streets of Steele for EVOC drivers training. It's not easy being cheesy but after a night of obstacle course driving, backing up, blindside parking and backing in to tight spaces, we can now say WOW! Much laughter was was had, only a few cone casualties and a great night of team building was complete.

Crew 6211 was stationed at the Fire Hall on the outskirts of town. Our coverage area was any of the outlying area. We saw everything through the back door. Crew 6212 was stationed first at the community center but was rotated to the west side station. They saw things from a different side.
