ParentSquare Text Message Troubleshooting
Not receiving text messages from the school?
We send important messages through ParentSquare each day (attendance notices, lunch balances, teacher messages, and school updates). If you are not receiving texts, please check the following:
1. Make Sure Your Phone Number Is Set as a Cell Phone in PowerSchool
Log into PowerSchool and confirm that your phone number is listed as a cell phone, not a landline.
Text messages cannot be sent to landline numbers.
2. Check That You Haven’t Opted Out of Text Messages
If you previously opted out of ParentSquare texts, you can turn them back on.

📩 Send to: 66458
This will re-enable ParentSquare text messages.
3. Check Your ParentSquare Notification Settings
Open the ParentSquare app
Go to Account
Select Notification Settings
Make sure Text Notifications are turned ON
4. Contact Your Mobile Carrier if Messages Still Aren’t Coming Through
If:
Your phone number is set correctly in PowerSchool
You texted START to 66458
Text notifications are turned on in ParentSquare
…but you are still not receiving texts, your mobile carrier may be blocking short code messages.
Some carriers (especially prepaid plans) block these messages by default. You may need to contact your carrier and ask them to allow short code text messages.
