🚑 With the closure of the Crozer Health System, municipalities across Delaware County lost critical emergency services Crozer once provided. Combined with ongoing staffing shortages, this has created real challenges for local governments working to maintain reliable emergency response for residents.
To address these countywide gaps, participating municipalities are exploring the creation of a new regional authority structure — the Delco Emergency Services Authority (Delco ESA). This model would provide stronger accountability through locally appointed board members and create a stable, transparent framework for delivering high quality emergency services.
📢 Swarthmore residents are encouraged to learn more and take part in the conversation. Additional information will be shared on the Borough website, and we invite you to join us for a public meeting:

The meeting will include an overview of the Delco ESA and an opportunity for residents to ask questions and share feedback.
