Hello VLC Families,

We are heading into a busy and exciting time as we approach the end of the school year! A quick reminder that field trip forms are due by May 4th for our upcoming trip on May 6th. We only have 20 spots available!

For our seniors, this is an especially important time. Seniors’ last day is May 8th, and we want to make sure every 12th grader is on track. Please check in with your student (and their Life Coach) to ensure they are meeting all graduation requirements and staying focused as they finish strong.
Additionally, all students are required to have their Educational Development Plans (EDPs) completed within the next couple of weeks. Your support in checking in with your child about their progress is greatly appreciated.

🐉 Assistant Principal Week Spotlight 🐉

Today we’re celebrating Kellie Robertson, VLC Director! She’s not an assistant principal, but she is an incredible leader. There is not a VLC Director Day, but we wanted to give her a shoutout.

Kellie shared that what she loves most about her role is the “hard days” because they create opportunities for growth and strengthen relationships. That says so much about the heart she brings to her work every single day.

She is especially proud of how VLC staff and students have handled change this year, coming together as one family and continuing to support each other while growing into the best versions of themselves.

Fun fact: In her younger years, Kellie taught line dancing and roller skating lessons!

Her message to the school community is one we can all take to heart: We all make mistakes. It’s what we do after that matters. Be curious, not judgmental, and assume positive intent.
