Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend

Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend Supporting and educating young children through quality early learning, health, & family services.

Kids Incorporated of the Big Bend is a community organization serving children 0-3 years of age. Founded in 1972 by the late Budd Bell, we provide comprehensive Early Head Start services to 220 eligible children ages 6 weeks to 3 years in Jefferson, Leon and Madison counties. Kids Incorporated is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization and is a certified-member agency of the United Way of the Big Bend. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, Kids Incorporated continues to be guided by the conscience of our late founder, Budd Bell. Although Budd was honored by governors, former Secretary of State Colin Powell and was named one of Eckerd's Top 100 Women in America, she always believed that the best recognition for a job well done was a smile from a child. An Early Head Start Policy Council provides guidance from parents impacted by our programs as well as community leaders.

Exciting update!

Kids Incorporated is expanding what we can offer the children and families we serve.

This year, we received two supplemental grants: one for nutrition and one for facility improvements. Both are part of a $225 million funding round HHS awarded to Head Start programs nationwide.

With this support, we can provide better meals, safer classrooms and stronger resources for the children in our care.

Our focus remains the same: helping children and families thrive. 💛

Stay tuned!
