Distributors play an essential role in getting Florida-grown foods into schools. 🚚🌱

By helping schools source, move, and prep products, distributors make Farm to School possible and help expand access to Florida-grown foods for students across the state.

That's why we've added a new Distributor Directory to Florida Farm Connect, making it easier for distributors, schools, and producers to find one another and build lasting partnerships.

Join today and help strengthen Florida's Farm to School network: https://farmtoschoolfl.com/farm-connect/for-distributors/

MEET YOUR FLORIDA FUTURE CHEF FINALISTS! 🧑‍🍳 Three talented student chefs are competing in this year’s Florida Future Chef finale event. Get a sneak peek at their elevated school meal recipes. We can’t wait to see them in action over the next couple days!

Follow along in our Stories to hear from the finalists in their own words and get an inside look at the finale experience.

Meet Emily! 👋 For the finale, Emily will prepare Chicken Parm Fries with Garden Pasta & Strawberry Caprese, inspired by time spent cooking alongside her mom and Nana and watching cooking competition shows. Outside of cooking, Emily loves reading, creating art projects, and traveling with her family, and pizza is her all-time favorite food. We’re looking forward to seeing this recipe shine on competition day!

Meet Logan, our finalist from Pinellas County! 👋 Logan will be whipping up Cast Iron Panhandle Chicken with First Coast Corn Crostinis and Sunshine Matcha Mangos, which is inspired by watching his dad cook, following chef Nick DiGiovanni, and tuning in to MasterChef and MasterChef Junior. An interesting fact about Logan is he plays soccer, swims, and loves experimenting with new cooking techniques and flavor combinations. Good luck, Logan, we know you’ll do great!

Meet Indy, representing Orange County! 👋 Indy is headed into the Florida Future Chef finals with her Mini Cottage Pie, a recipe inspired by watching her mom cook and wanting to jump in and help whenever she could. Fun fact? Indy practices martial arts, performs in theater productions, and surfs, and she dreams of one day mastering flaky croissants. We can’t wait to see this dish come to life, best of luck!
