Workforce development starts with helping the next generation see what’s possible.

This Workforce Development Month, we’re highlighting the Leon Works Expo, where high school students from across the region get an up-close look at skilled careers and the pathways that can help them get there.

From welding and commercial vehicle driving to healthcare, technology, construction, cosmetology, and more, the Leon Works Expo brings students face-to-face with employers and training providers while offering hands-on opportunities to experience careers firsthand. Students can explore equipment, try simulators, ask questions, and discover career paths that match their interests and skills.

By connecting students with real-world career opportunities before they enter the workforce, the Leon Works Expo helps build a stronger talent pipeline for the employers and industries that keep Tallahassee-Leon County moving forward.
