TRVFD ( 3 firefighters) are working a big brushfire in Atascosa. Got TFS, TDEM, Bexar ESD 1 and 7. , dozers, planes. And about 10 VFDs in total are assisting.

As the EOC wraps up for Live Oak County, Chief Henry Pullin would like to Thank all the local and state entities that helped keep the community informed and as safe as possible. Three Rivers VFD and George West VFD spent the last week volunteering scheduled day and night shifts to ensure the welfare of our citizens and first responders. Whitsett VFD staged in house to support these departments during the hours while deployed doing flood monitoring. These volunteers spend so many extra hours after work and away from family and we wish to recognize their hard work, long hours and dedication. We wish we could name each one individually but we thank each and everyone.

Many thanks also to the Live Oak County Emergency Management Coordinator, EMC Deputy, Judge Liska, LOC Commissioners and their workers, Acadian EMS, all the State Task-forces, TDEM and many many others that provided 24/7 emergency response and care.

Being prepared and ready in a safe and productive way is key to community success.

June Captain Choice Award: goes to John Keep. John is one of our newest members of the department but has excelled at training, service and dedication! John just recently went to TX A&M for a week long class on Haz—Mat Technician and will again be going this weekend with hopes to get Pro board certified in the future. We congratulate John and look forward to a bright future with the TRVFD. Congratulations!
