The Department of Public Safety has given our District a midday report. At this point, authorities believe that the Cat in the Hat threat is strongly a hoax. They are actively investigating all leads. Any new social media screen shots of this can be sent to Superintendent Les Dragon at (361)522-9681. Please monitor your children's social media, and continually ask them what is trending. We will continue extra law enforcement at practices through this evening.

Safety Communication: Our schools have been the subject of a TikTok Challenge called The Cat in the Hat. Some of our students named have been specifically mentioned. The District has alerted all Live Oak County law enforcement agencies. We can expect extra patrols. I am also trying to make contact with the parents of the 10-11 students who were called out by first name. Please call Les Dragon at (361)522-9681.
