Compassion starts with the very first conversation. ❤️

At Just Compassion, our Intake Team is often the first point of contact for HRSN applicants. We review eligibility, coordinate with property managers, gather documentation, and help guide each applicant through the process.

But our role goes far beyond paperwork.

We understand that every person who reaches out has a unique story and may be navigating a difficult season. Whether someone qualifies for HRSN or needs to be connected with other resources, our team’s goal is to listen, guide, and make sure no one feels like they’re navigating it alone.

Because sometimes, the most important thing we can offer is a compassionate first conversation. 🤝❤️

An ID may seem simple, but for someone experiencing homelessness, getting one can be a major barrier to stability.

That’s why we created DMV Day. 🪪 Each month, our Street Outreach team takes clients to the DMV to help them obtain identification, Real IDs, vehicle registration, and other important documents.

This month, 4–5 clients were able to get their IDs—giving them another important tool as they work toward employment, financial stability, and housing.

Sometimes, progress looks like something as simple as having the right paperwork in your hands. And we’re proud to help make that next step a little easier. 💙

Every month, our team heads down to the DMV alongside our clients to help them get the important pieces of their lives in order—from identification and registrations to other essential documents.

For many, navigating these systems can feel overwhelming. We’re here to walk alongside our clients, provide support, and make sure they have what they need to move forward with confidence.

It’s more than a trip to the DMV—it’s helping people take another step toward stability, independence, and a brighter future. 🙌

We're excited to share the news about some big changes for Just Compassion!

First, our name is changing. We'll officially only be "Just Compassion," since our service area is now much greater than East Washington County.

Second, we've redesigned our logo to more directly represent both how we approach our work and what we ultimately hope to achieve alongside the people we serve.

While our name and logo are changing, the foundation of Just Compassion is not. We remain committed to providing services rooted in dignity, relationships, compassion, and a belief in the potential of every person we serve.

We are incredibly proud of where Just Compassion started, and East Washington County will always be an important part of our history. At the same time, we are excited for our name and branding to better represent the organization we have become and the communities we now have the privilege of serving.

Compassion isn’t always found in grand gestures. Sometimes it’s a warm meal, a listening ear, a kind word, or simply showing up.
