Last night on the north side of town, a tornado siren went off. After speaking with the Johnson County Emergency Management they said there was outside interference from another county. The frequencies interacted causing the siren to go off. They are aware and working on a solution. Thank you.

The Trafalgar Police Department would like to remind all residents not to park on the streets over the next few days due to the forecasted snowfall. Keeping your vehicles off the street will allow the Street Department to remove snow more quickly and efficiently. For your safety and the safety of others, please stay off the roads when the snow starts to fall. Thank you for your cooperation!

The Trafalgar Police Department would like to inform everyone that  citizens in the area are receiving phone calls from individuals posing as law enforcement officers. They are telling everyone that they have a warrant for their arrest because the individual didn’t show up for jury duty. DO NOT SEND THESE PEOPLE MONEY. This is a scam.
