Prospect Place will be open for self-guided tours this weekend on Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6 from 12 - 4 pm each day. There is no charge for self-guided tours but donations are accepted and greatly appreciated.

If you can’t make it this weekend, don’t worry! Prospect Place will be open for self-guided tours every Saturday and Sunday from 12 - 4 pm.

We’re pleased to share that the Prospect Place Carriage House has been selected by Heritage Ohio for its 2026 Opportunity 250 initiative, part of the statewide 250 Buildings, 250 Stories project celebrating historic places across Ohio during America’s 250th anniversary. Opportunity 250 highlights historic buildings ready for renewed investment and reinvestment—making the Carriage House a particularly fitting selection as we begin the professional planning necessary to determine its future. This recognition brings statewide attention to a building that has been part of Prospect Place and Muskingum County for generations, and reinforces something we have long believed: some places from our past deserve a future.
