UPDATE

⚠️ Public Safety Power Shutoff Notice ⚠️

Beginning: July 16, 2026, 6 p.m. MST

Due to incoming storms and potential high wind and fire risk, Bonneville Power has determined they are going to proceed with a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) beginning tonight at 6 p.m. MST. Customers served by Troy Power & Light and surrounding Northern Lights will be affected.

Bonneville Power will restore power once the storms have cleared and they have been able to confirm their systems are operational. We will not have an ETA on power restoration, as that will be dependent on the weather and safety as determined by Bonneville Power. Though, it is likely power will remain off through the night.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work with BPA to prioritize the safety of our community!

UPDATE

At this time, Troy Power & Light customers will remain energized, and BPA has determined that a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) is not necessary at this time.

Please keep in mind that conditions can change quickly. If weather conditions worsen or the wildfire risk increases, a PSPS may be reconsidered.

Troy Power & Light will continue to monitor conditions closely and remain in constant communication with BPA. We will provide updates as soon as any new information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work together to keep our community safe.

⚠️ Potential Public Safety Power Shutoff Notice

Due to the current Red Flag Warning, forecasted high winds, the potential for thunderstorms, and the elevated wildfire risk from existing fires in our area, the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is actively evaluating whether a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) may be necessary to help reduce the risk of wildfire.

If BPA determines that a shutoff is necessary, customers served by Troy Power & Light and surrounding Northern Lights service areas could experience a temporary power outage. Power would remain off until conditions improve and it is safe to restore service.

At this time, no decision has been made. Troy Power & Light is in continuous communication with BPA and will provide updates as soon as new information becomes available.

We encourage everyone to be prepared in the event of a temporary outage by charging essential devices, having flashlights readily available, and keeping an eye on our page for the latest updates.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work with BPA to prioritize the safety of our community.
