The Woods Memorial Library is a part of the Pima County Public Library system. At the Woods Library you will find teen gaming, read-to-a-dog, storytimes, computer classes, job and career help, quiet study rooms, & more, plus friendly staff and lots of materials available for checkout. The Pima County Public Library provides books, computers, movies, music, literacy and job help programming and muc

The Woods Memorial Library, which opened in 1968 and was renovated in 1998, is an anchor for the Amphi neighborhood, serving one of the most diverse cultural, racial, and socio-economically communities in Tucson. The 16,650 square foot library serves as a community center for families, as well as teens and children independently, and hosts numerous library programs and community assistance programs and workshops. The library, which has the second highest number of visitors in the library system, was named in honor of G. Freeman Woods who served as a Tucson City Councilman for eight years, was a Flowing Wells School Board member for six years, and served on the library advisory board.

"Every month, Healthy Companions sets up at the Sullivan Jackson Employment Center, where it operates as a one-stop site for medical, behavioral health, pet care, and support services."

"Veterinary services are provided by PACC and include vaccinations, wellness checks, mobile X-rays, and blood work. Human health services include behavioral health support, wound care, clinic referrals through El Rio Street Medicine, and screenings for HIV, syphilis and other health conditions through the Health Department’s Mobile Clinics. All services are free."

Rawr you ready for Summer Reading? 🦖 Beginning Tuesday, June 2, youth can visit any library branch to pick up a free book to keep for their collection and a reading tracker. For every 20 minutes of reading, a dino track can be marked off. Youth can earn fun prizes along the way, culminating with a Summer Reading Certificate and MOD Pizza Kids Meal Certificate (while supplies last).
