The Pima Library Foundation is supporting the Pima County Public Library’s program at the Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) again this year. This program connects justice-involved youth with Library resources that support their educational, recreational and cultural needs. Financial support for this program provides program/presenter expenses (community members who present at the JDC are an example of caring adults rooting for their success) and technology that will provide corrections-grade access to digital Library materials for the FIRST TIME.

The Pima Library Foundation is excited to announce this year’s funding initiatives. We are continuing our support of the Pima County Public Library's program at the Juvenile Detention Center. This program provides resources to support educational, recreational and information needs. The second Library program is 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten. This program supports early literacy through parents reading with their children. The third program is the Library’s Outreach Program. The Library’s Affinity Teams provide outreach to local Latinx and Indigenous communities, participate in events where they share information about the Library and encourage people to sign up for Library cards. We look forward to sharing more soon!

You made it happen! We fulfilled our funding commitment to the Library for this year. All of us at the Pima Library Foundation are grateful for your support. Your generosity is humbling.

During this time of year we meet with the Library and learn about where they need support. Together we work to match their needs with what our donors care about most. It's an exciting time as we determine our initiatives for the next year.

As we head into the last month of our fiscal year, we are thankful to our donors who have helped support our Library and community. We’ve had four initiatives this year: the Library’s program at the Juvenile Detention Center, Career Online High School, Mobile Hotspots and Library Staff Scholarships. All help people who have needs or are looking for a brighter, more independent and productive future. Thank you for all you do to help!
