Champaign County property tax bills are on track to be mailed by May 1, and we want to make things as smooth and stress-free as possible for you this year.

Here are a few quick things to know:

Skip the mailbox and get your bill faster by signing up for e-billing through eNoticesOnline. It’s quick, convenient, and available 24/7.

💳 Easy Payment Options
Pay the way that works best for you:
• Online (e-check, credit/debit card, Apple Pay)
• By mail
• In person (cash or check)
• At participating banks throughout the county

⚠️ Auto-Pay Update
Automatic bank draft (auto-pay) is no longer offered. We encourage residents to use our online payment options or e-billing for convenience and reminders.

• Mobile Homes: July 2

📨 Important Mailing Tip (See Image Below)
The USPS has updated how postmarks are applied. In some cases, the postmark may reflect the processing date rather than the day you drop it in the mailbox.

👉 If you’re mailing a payment close to the due date, we strongly recommend:
• Mailing early, or
• Going inside the post office and requesting a manual same-day postmark

Important Notice: Treasurer’s Office Move & Limited Services

The Champaign County Treasurer’s Office is moving to a new location!

Limited services will be offered from Monday, June 30 through Thursday, July 3 as we transition to our new space. For this period, our services will be limited to PAYMENTS ONLY.

✅ In-person payments will be accepted at the following locations:

June 30:
Brookens Administrative Center
1776 E. Washington St., Urbana, IL 61802

July 1–3:
Bennett Administrative Center
102 E. Main St., Urbana, IL 61801

You can also pay using any of these convenient options:
• Online: https://www.champaigncountyil.gov/treasurer
• At participating banks throughout the County
• By using the secure drop box in the circle drive at Brookens

Full service will resume on Monday, July 7 at the Bennett Administrative Center, following the Independence Day holiday.

NOTICE TO CHAMPAIGN COUNTY TAXPAYERS

Please be advised that Old National Bank will not be participating as a tax collection bank for the 2025 tax cycle in Champaign County. Taxpayers are encouraged to use alternate approved payment methods or participating banks for the payment of property taxes this year.

For a list of approved tax payment locations and additional information, please contact the Champaign County Treasurer’s Office or visit the official website.

Good afternoon neighbors!

We’re wrapping up the tax cycle and preparing for the tax sale. With that in mind, we want to make sure you are tracking the dates:
- Today is the last day to pay with a personal/business check or using a credit or debit card.
- Friday, October 4, is the last day to pay and guarantee avoiding publication (the names will run on October 11, 2024).
- From October 1-24, we will only accept guaranteed funds. This means cashier’s check, money order or cash.
- October 24 is the final day to pay taxes and avoid property taxes going to the tax sale. Postmarks no longer apply and payments need to be in office to be listed as received.
- October 25 at 9:00am the tax sale will be held in the Shields-Carter Meeting Room at 1776 E. Washington St, Urbana, IL 61802.

If you want to check on your payment status, you may do so by using the “property tax lookup” feature on our website or click this link (https://champaignil.devnetwedge.com). Simply enter your parcel number/PIN or enter your house number and street name only. Either you will see a list of parcels and you need to select your own or the screen will automatically pull up your property.
