For anyone who is interested, here’s the link to our breast cancer shirts for this year! 💗🎀

10/02/2026

This year, our Breast Cancer Awareness shirts mean a little more to the Valley View Fire Department family.

These shirts were designed in honor of Lisa Pelka, wife of our own Bill Pelka.

Lisa faced breast cancer with incredible strength and courage and she beat it. Today, we are proud to celebrate Lisa as a breast cancer survivor and honor everything she overcame along the way.

These shirts represent more than breast cancer awareness. They represent Lisa’s fight, her strength, her victory, and every person who has faced or continues to face breast cancer.

When one of our families goes through a fight like this, they never go through it alone. Lisa is and always will be a part of the Valley View Fire Department family, and we are incredibly proud to wear these shirts in her honor.

Lisa, you fought. You survived. You won. And we are proud to stand beside you. 🎀

25 years ago today, we remember the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the firefighters, police officers, EMS personnel, military members, and ordinary Americans who showed extraordinary courage on one of our nation’s darkest days.

🕯️ 8:46 AM — American Airlines Flight 11 struck the North Tower.

🕯️ 9:03 AM — United Airlines Flight 175 struck the South Tower.

🕯️ 9:37 AM — American Airlines Flight 77 struck the Pentagon.

🕯️ 9:59 AM — The South Tower collapsed.

🕯️ 10:03 AM — United Airlines Flight 93 crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, after passengers and crew fought back.

🕯️ 10:28 AM — The North Tower collapsed.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember.

We remember those who went to work and never came home.
We remember the first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away.
We remember the families whose lives were forever changed.
And we remember the unity, courage, and sacrifice shown by Americans that day.

From all of us at the Valley View Fire Department, we will never forget.

🇺🇸 9•11•2001 — NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸
