Photographer Ron Rosenstock gave a wonderful program at Vinalhaven Public Library sharing some his images from more than 50 years of travel around the world. He has generously donated a number of his books to Friends of the Library, now for sale at Second Hand Prose. All proceeds go directly to the Friends, to help fund programs, library improvements, and museum passes on the mainland, among other things. Many thanks to Ron for being a true Friend of the Library!

Thank you to everyone who attended the third annual Friends of the Library reception yesterday! We were so pleased to celebrate our generous members and donors, and chat with photographer Ron Rosenstock, who gave a presentation at the library last night.

We also want to thank librarians Jen and Linda for their time and support, and Island Spirits for the wine!

Come down to Second Hand Prose and check out this beautiful signed copy of Chihuly Studio's Gardens and Glass! It features almost 100 images of his memorable outdoor installations around the world. Would make a great gift or coffee table book.
