The Virginia Golf Course will be Closing today at 2:00PM as Rock Ridge Cross Country will be hosting a Cross Country Meet on the course. We will reopen for Golf on Thursday September 4th at 7:30AM. We encourage everyone to come out and support our local athletes.

The Mesabi Trail is turning 30, and you’re invited to celebrate!

For three decades, the trail has connected communities across northeastern Minnesota—and now it’s time to celebrate 30 years AND the completion of the trail’s final section!

📅 Upcoming FREE, family-friendly events include:

🚴 30/30 Group Bike Ride
Saturday, September 12 at 1 PM
Ride 30 miles for 30 years on the new section from Tower to Embarrass and back, followed by a celebration at Tower Depot Park!

🎀 Official Ribbon Cutting
Tuesday, September 15 at 1 PM

Help mark the official completion of the Mesabi Trail!

Wednesday, September 16 | 8–10 AM

Tonight we continue our 2026 season of Music in the Park series in Olcott Park by the Fountain.

This weeks Featured Artist, Sound Inc makes their long awaited return to the Iron Range and is ready to bring you back to days gone by with a slate of classics you will recognize. Attendees should bring a chair or blanket with them. Food and Refreshments will be available to purchase provided by local vendors that are supporting the concert series.

The show will be starting at 6:00PM and running till approximately 8:00PM in the event of Rain we may move the the Iron Trail Motors Event Center or to the Bandstand in Olcott Park. Check back here on our Social Media for updates
