I was grateful to be asked to judge a poster competition for the Secretary of State today.
The highlight entry for me was a moose drinking a Moxie in the “Maine Symbol” Category. 🫎

Good luck to all of the entries!

🚨 Tomorrow evening would be a good time to show up to voice your opinion on a massive tax increase across our county. This is something we just can’t afford. Friday December, 12th from 6-9.

Good luck out there today and tomorrow to all of the youth hunters. 🦌

I had the honor of attending the Christening ceremony for DDG 126 at Bath Iron Works yesterday. This time I brought my youngest son to join in the festivities. I spent my last five years in the Navy commissioning DDG 116 and DDG 118 out of BIW and they are truly an amazing group of people putting out top of the line warships. My hats off to them again.

⭐️ I had the pleasure of hosting Kathy and Shirley, two of our recently retired selectwomen, at the State House earlier this week. I can’t express how much impact they have had on our town, community, and the state with over 83 years of combined service! Amazing work and I wish you well in your future endeavors.

🏃🏻‍♂️ I took my oldest son to run the Travis Mills 5k again this year (three years straight). It was a blast and the weather was gorgeous.

📣 Shout out to all the runners, the host, and sponsors. I even ran into several people from my area that made the trip to run.

🚨Congratulations to the Honor Roll students at Mt. View. I had a nice stack of letters from me to them to deliver this rainy spring day. Keep up the great work Mustangs! 🎓

I attended the Vietnam Veterans breakfast yesterday with my oldest daughter, Gwyneth. The Travis Mills Foundation puts on this event every year and I am thankful to be invited and attend. It’s always a humbling experience and I enjoy the conversations I get into with fellow Veterans. This Saturday marks the 60th anniversary of the war. Please take a moment to thank a Vietnam Veteran if you see them.

*Gwyneth was holding in a laugh in this picture after several jokes between Travis and me.

🚨Maine voters disenfranchised by the party in power.

The states budget for the next two years, that is around $11.3 Billion dollars of taxpayer money, has now bypassed its constitutional obligations thanks to the party in power in Augusta.

This budget was supposed to be debated and discussed over the next 90 days so that EVERY Mainer would have a voice. Compromises and concessions were to be made by all parties. No longer are the people of Maine a priority for those in power in Augusta. No Democrat, Republican, Independent, or Unenrolled voter in my district had a say in this budget.
