A special presentation took place at Wednesday’s training. “The Fire Chief’s Handbook” a keepsake that has been handed down through the years was presented to Chief Paul Smeltzer by Ron Glidden, son of late Retired Chief Richard W. Glidden. The book, originally inscribed by Chief William Freeman in 1962 was presented to Chief Robert Maxcy in 1993 and to Chief Glidden in 2006.

Don’t be alarmed if you see smoke this morning in the vicinity of Quarry hill off of Depot st. The Maine Forest Rangers are conducting training with Basic Fire School students teaching brush fire control.

Easter Bunny/Egg Hunt

The Easter Bunny will be arriving by fire truck to the Waldoboro Fire Station (1600 Atlantic Highway) at 10 AM on Saturday, April 4th.

Children are asked to bring their own Easter basket to collect their candy-filled eggs.
