You may get a knock on your door in the next day or two, but not to worry! Edyta, a University student from Poland is doing a summer exchange program working for Southwestern Advantage selling educational books and apps for families.
This is Edyta’s first week in Washburn, so if you see her, don't be shy and say hello! Edyta has been approved by the City of Washburn and is a legitimate vendor.
She does not represent and is not affiliated with any of the schools. It is her summer internship and this is the way that she gets to pay her way through school.

Please be advised that water service will be temporarily shut off in Renner Addition and on East 5th Avenue today (8/27) beginning at approximately 10am while crews perform necessary maintenance.

This week the city crew is picking up the mess left behind from the deconstruction of the Memorial Building roof that was damaged during the storm.

We need one more dumpster before we can finish the cleanup. That section of road has been blocked off. Special thanks to Miranda Harvey for helping out!

The type of road maintenance we preform these days takes a crew larger than we have on staff. We rely on the help of people who take time away from their regular jobs (or their relaxing retirement) to work long hours with our regular crew, Zach and Steve, to help us get the roads into shape.

With the completion of the road maintenance for this year, the City of Washburn would like to extend a special thank you to the many temporary workers that stepped up to help out.
